¿Qué se necesita para votar?
Todo ciudadano Americano, naturalizado o nacido, tiene el derecho a votar. Pero no antes de registrarse para votar.
Si usted es Ciudadano/a Americano/a, ya sea naturalizado/a o nacido/a en los Estados Unidos, puede registrarse aqui o en su oficina postal más cercana.

Me quiero naturalizar, pero tengo muchas preguntas.
Muy bien, mis amigos de OCCORD tienen un programa en el que asisten a la población obtener la Ciudadanía y en este fin de semana van a realizar una feria en la cual se proveerá ayuda gratuita. Usted tendra que hacer una cita para poder asistir, para ver si aún hay lugares disponibles llama al (714) 621-0919 extención 12 y pregunta por Claudia. La Feria de Ciudadanía es el 28 de Abril, 2012 en el Salón Parroquial de la Iglesia del Inmaculado Corazón de María en Santa Ana, Ca.

¡Prepárate para tu cita! Vas a necesitar:
Identificación. 
Ya sea tu licencia de manejar o tu tarjeta de identificación de California. Tarjeta del Seguro Social. O tarjeta de Residente Permanente (Grincar)
Fechas de viajes de 24 horas o más. 
Historial de todo viaje fuera de los Estados Unidos de más de 24 horas cada uno (mes/día/año) con fechas de salida y de regreso desde que usted se hizo Residente Permanente Legal, incluyendo los viajes a Tijuana.
Domicilios de Residencia.

Domicilios de todos los lugares de residencia durante los últimos cinco (5) años. Favor de tener las fechas de cuando se instaló en esa residencia, y de cuando la desalojó.
Historial de Empleo. 
Nombres de cada compañía, domicilios, fechas de ingresos y terminación, y posición o título de trabajo porcaada compañía que usted trabajó en los últimos cinco (5) años.
Estado Matrimonial. 
Nombre completo del conyugue, domicilio, fecha de nacimiento, fecha de matrimonio (fecha oficial de la corte), numero de Seguro Social. Si su conyugue es residente permanente: debe traer el numero "A" (localizado en la grincar). Si su conyuguue es naturalizado/a: debe saber el lugar y fecha de la ceremonia.
Estado Matrimonial Previo. 
Nombre completo del conyugue. Fecha de matrimonio y divorcio (fecha oficial de la corte). Si es viudo/a, fecha de difunción. Si su conyugue actual is divorsiado/a o viudo/a, nombre y fecha de matrimonio y fecha de divorcio o fecha de difunción.
Hijos. 
Nombre completo, fecha de nacimiento, país de nacimiento, domicilio de residencia de cada hijo/a. Si son residentes permanentes legales, el numero "A" (localizado en la grincar).
Servicios Selctivos. 
(Sólo para varones entre las edades de 18 a 26 años) Numero del Servicio Selecto y fecha de registro. Si no se los sabe, llame al (847) 688-6888 para obtener la información.

On this year's elections, make your voice roar! Register to vote! Become an American citizen! Be an active member of your Community!

How?
I'm glad you ask. Because to be an active member of the Community, to just know about the issues is not enough. We must take action! And one of the best ways to make our voice be heard is to vote.

What do I need to vote?
Every U.S. Citizen, born or naturalized, has the right to vote. But s/he has to register first.
If you are an American Citizen, be it through the U.S. naturalization process or by birth, you may register here or in your local postal office.

I wasn't born here, How may I become an American Citizen?
If you weren't born in the U.S. and has been a Permanent Resident for at least five (5) years, or three (3) years if married to an American Citizen and at least eighteen (18) years old, you may start the naturalization process by completing the N-400 application form.

I want to get naturalized, but I have a load of questions.
Very well, my friends at OCCORD have a program where they assist the community obtain U.S. Citizenship, and this weekend they will have a fair which will offer free assistance to apply. However, you need to make an appointment, call Claudia at (714) 621-0919 extension 12 to see if there are any seats available. The Citizenship Fair will take place this April 28th, 2012 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary's Parish Hall in Santa Ana, Ca.

Prepare for your appointment! You will need:
Identification.
Driver's License or California Identification Card. Social Security Card. Or Permanent Resident Card (Green Card).
Trips taken outside the U.S. for more than 24 hours.
Dates of departure and return (month/day/year) from all trips taken outside of the United States since becoming a legal permanent resident, including trips taken to Tijuana.
Addresses of Residence.

Employment History.
Names of each company of employment in the past 5 years. Address of each place of employment. Start and end dates of employment with each company. Position held at each company.
Current Marital Status.
Complete name of spouse. Address. Date pf birth. Date of matrimony (official court date). Social Security number. If your spouse is a legal permanent resident, you must bring his/her "A" number (located on green card). If your spouse is a naturalized U.S. Citizen, you must know the date and place where ceremony occurred.
Previous Marital Status.
Complete name of spouse. Date of matrimony and divorce (official court date). If widowed, date of death. If your current spouse is divorced or widowed:: name, date of matrimony, and date of divorce or death.
Children.
Complete name, date of birth, country of birth, address of residence for each child. If they are legal permanent residents, "A" number (locate on green card).
Selective Service.
Only for males between the ages of 18 and 26. Selective Service Number and date of registry. If you do not know your registration number and do not remember when you registered, call (847) 688-6888 to receive information.
